Babel
A Picture of One World Government
Genesis 11: 1-9
Vs. 1 - Even though there are still different languages on the earth the computer age has virtually caused the walls of separation to come down. Could the computer be the modern day Babel? What about the U.N.? How does the role of the U.N. factor into the end times and a One-World Government? The drive by this organization to be the world's policeman is one serious sign of a world domination mentality.
Vs. 3-4 - Their motive was to get to heaven by their own deeds or methods, sound familiar today? Beliefs have been created to accommodate this mentality. Too many churches are more concerned about "Let us make US" a name than the spiritual fundamentals that are being ignored as a result of this thought process. God wants to be the center of your life, ambitions, desires, goals, etc… Is God at the center of your life, or are your building a tower? We build towers in our lives when we put things in front of God such as our jobs, activities, money, etc…
Vs. 8 - In this day God scattered them abroad and the building ceased, what will be used in our day to stop this self-serving mentality? The Rapture? The Tribulation? There are people today that go out of their way to avoid any spiritual contact or accountability. Some would even go to the ends of the earth to avoid making a relationship with God.
Our society today makes it easy, and in fact fosters the atmosphere of 'self' and convenience instead of taking time and seeking God.
We live in a "micro-wave" society where we have everything at the press of a button and expect the same thing of God. The one world government will seek to unite all religions and form one united religious system. It is already happening and if we are not grounded in the word we will fall prey to what is happening. That is why we are instructed to "Study to show ourselves approved" and to take time in prayer and try the spirits to see whether they are of God or not. This new world order system will take many 'lukewarm' Christians by surprise because they have not grounded themselves in the Word, and are not aware of what they are being swayed into.
There is no replacement for spending time in the Word or in Prayer, and no quick fix to obtain that relationship with God that will come by these two things. Stop building your "Tower of Babel" today and start building your relationship with the King of Kings and you will not be deceived by the lie.
