 Leila McNabb
Leila began by teaching Living Water Teaching (LWT) missionary children in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala in September 1983. The Lord called her to join the work in El Salvador in 1986, where she arrived in July before the October earthquake. She taught in the Bible Institute, served as director of the Correspondence Bible School, and served in the Sunday School when the church was started in 1989.
For years she led soul-winning teams in various hospitals and has been used in intercessory prayer - with prayer teams in the church, Sunday morning prayer drives around the city, and personal intercession. Several years ago, the Lord gave her a vision of changing the women of this nation by teaching His Word through "Ladies' Seminars". Her "Women of Faith in Action", trained each week by our ministry staff teachers, have been used of God to minister throughout El Salvador, in large churches and small, but always with special love for the women of the smaller rural churches. Leila has also worked to provide special leadership training for the youth from several churches.
In 1991 Leila was led by the Holy Spirit to take Bety and her children, Johanna, Alex, and Leila (now 19, 17 and 14) into her home. Geovanny, the children's father, an alcoholic and drug addict, was marvelously restored in 2002, and is now with his family after completing 2 years at LWT's Bible Institute in Xela.
The Lord has given Leila another vision for the not-too-distant future - to develop a ranch for boys-at-risk. Geovanny and Bety will be helping her as administrators/ workers of this boys' home. In the meantime, Leila spends much time in intercession each workday at the office, takes her team to hold Ladies' Seminars (Bety and Geovanny's mother, Lilian, are two of Leila's key teachers), and really enjoys serving as Martha Hammonds' right-hand 'lady'/ interpreter in her work with pastors' wives. Leila also serves as Vice-President on the LWT-El Salvador board of directors. Geovanny is a true servant - working presently as a volunteer in the church and ministry, teaching in the Bible Institute and helping prepare teaching materials for Bible classes in Apanteos Prison.
