HE MUST INCREASE
John 3:30
John had his own disciples - directed them to Jesus
John made an interesting statement here that we could all learn from. Jesus must "increase" in every aspect of our lives. Even though John had his own followers, he knew that Jesus was the one that had to be followed. Everything we do and say should direct people to Jesus.
He must increase in our lives, praise, worship, everything
If we are going to grow spiritually then Jesus has to increase in each area of our life. We need to increase the intensity of our praise and worship. Our prayer and study of the Word must increase also.
Luke 1: 5-11
John came from priesthood, who was responsible for prayer and the incense.
Incense was an important part of the duties in the Temple. The incense was a symbol of the prayers of God's people to Him.
Exodus 30: 34-38
Ingredients were symbols
- Stacte - = to speak under inspiration
We need to pray under the inspiration of the Spirit. Even if we know not what to pray for the Bible says that the Spirit will make intercession for us.
Onycha - = Roar as a lion
When we pray under the inspiration of the Spirit, it is like a Roaring Lion to the devil.
Galbanum - = Choicest part
We must give God the best part of our mind and spirit when in prayer. We should not pray when we are about to fall asleep and cannot concentrate. God deserves better of us, pray when alert and fully aware of what you are doing.

The curse was put on the ground also… could it be that the earth knows that time is getting close… Is God revealing it through nature?
With time speeding on, it is time more now than ever to develop a closer relationship with Jesus. Could all of the natural disasters be a sign of the earth groaning and acknowledging that the time is close at hand?
Signs of the times!
Angelic activity before Jesus’ birth - and now
Before and during Jesus' first arrival on earth there was a lot of angelic activity. Isn't it interesting how much fascination there is today with angels and the many appearances of them?
- Babies slaughtered before Jesus’ birth - and now
At the time of Jesus' first arrival to earth Herod slaughtered many babies, isn't it interesting that at the time of His second return there are millions of babies being slaughtered every day?
Jesus said it would be like the days of Sodom - Homosexual move
Jesus said that before His return it would be like Sodom and Gomorrah. With the homosexual movement today and the general morality it is nothing more in America than a replica of this.
Israel’s Jubilee - May 1, 1998
Jubilee means to "free from debt" - Jesus did this for us
With Israel's Jubilee taking place it will be interesting to see what transpires as a result. We know as Christians that Jesus has already paid our debt and freed us, but could this Jubilee be the transpiring of the false peace that will be brought to Israel?
