are all parts and derived from each other. All three are also very closely related to Buddhism.
The process is that of altering one's consciousness through Yoga and Hindu forms of meditation, such as the Transcendental Meditation of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Monism is the Hindu Vedanta philosophy that "all is One." We are One with nature, One with the universe, One with all living things. The cosmos is one intertwined unity with no independent parts. We all share of the same essence or cosmic Oneness.
The ultimate goal of Hinduism is to liberate ourselves from this "physical personal existence" and become One with the "Impersonal All." (much the same as Buddhism) In Hinduism, this "Impersonal All" is often referred to as the Brahman-Atman or the true Reality.
In Hinduism, Yoga became the main vehicle for transcending this world of illusion. In Sanskrit, the original language of India, "Yoga" means "yoke or union with God" (the Hindu concept of God as the Impersonal All). Yoga, as a religious Hindu teaching and technique was introduced in India by Patanjali around 200 B.C.
According to Hinduism, Reincarnation is an endless cycle of rebirth over and over again. The purpose is to purge oneself of karma and transcend this physical world of illusion. In India this is known as transmigration. Hinduism teaches that based on the law of Karma, your good and bad deeds will determine how you will come back in your next life. If you live a bad life and do not do the things required in Hinduism and Buddhism to renounce this world of illusion, you may come back as a lower form. The possibility of returning as a cow or rat have made both animals sacred in India.
You don't kill a cow in India, since it may be somebody's reincarnated uncle or aunt. That's also why you don't kill the rats. The United Nations now estimates there are over three times more rats in India than the human population. These rats eat nearly one-fourth of the total grain crop! One of the top causes of death in India is malnutrition.
It is sad to see how satan uses these beliefs to destroy people.
You can easily see how closely Hinduism and Buddhism are related.
