I Know Your Works

Have you ever thought you KNEW someone only to be sadly mistaken?
God knows us and our works.

Revelation 2-3

2:1-4 - Ephesus - Left their first love

vs.2 - Labor - He knows our work for Him - if there is any!

Patience - Do we have patience with God?

First Love - Have you left that first love? Is there a love for souls?

2:8-9 - Smyrna - False Professors

vs.9 - He knows our circumstances

Tribulation - He knows when you have difficulties, hard times, when you are hindered by powers beyond your control

2:13-14 - Pergamos - Church of Compromise

vs.13 - He knows when we are in a difficult place to witness, when there is persecution and trouble from those that do not want to hear the truth.

vs.14 - He also knows when we compromise to accommodate such people. We must stand for the truth despite the pressures from the world!

2:19-20 - Thyatira - False teachers in the church (allowed)

vs.20 - He knows when we follow men and not Him.

3:1-3 - Sardis - Religion not Relationship - Tradition

vs.1 - He knows if we claim to be alive but are really dead - many churches

vs.2 - He gives us a chance to change that situation ourselves

3:7-12 - Philadelphia - The True Hungry Heart

vs.8 - He knows when we have opportunities and whether we use them or not

What is that "Open Door"

3:15-17 - Laodicea - Lukewarm - No Commitment

vs.15 - He knows our desires and heart - are we committed? Do we give it our best?

We must recognize that there is no deceiving God

We must remember that we will reap what we sow - Gal. 6:7-8

We must understand that there is nothing hidden from God - Heb. 4:13

We must consider our situation and ask "What does He know about Me?"
