Last Call

A phrase I learned long ago

Before all things became new

In any bar, all came to know

Last Call was precious to few

Last Call meant it's almost time

The bar will soon be closed

The tired waitress finally sighs

It's almost time to go home

But to the drunk, Last Call meant ending

This party where they are

They cry out the party's just beginning

As they stumble to the bar

But the "party" is yet to come

For those who know the Lord

Eternal bliss has been won

For souls who opened the door

It's not the bars nor drunken parties

That will bring eternal bliss

Your wild carousing and adulteries

Will lead to pain and death

Wake up my friend, It's Last Call

To all who will take heed

The Lord is calling out to all

And it's the Lord you need

Jesus is the fountain of life

Get your drinks from Him

He gives you power and might

To overcome all sin

Step up to the bar, It's Last Call

Jesus serves drinks for free

Come as you are, it's for all

And live eternally

Don't drown your sorrows in your beer

For they'll just come back tomorrow

Lay them at Jesus feet, He is near

And the time is not to be borrowed

This call goes out across the land

To all who will take heed

This Last Call is from Jesus

And He is who you need

Jesus knocks at the door of the heart

Let Him in while there is still time

For soon it will be too late to start

Once the Trumpet sings it's chime

Heaven or Hell is the choice to make

Don't laugh or be amused

Jesus paid the price, for us to take

And it's not to be abused

It's Last Call, the bar is closing

And that only means one thing

Get your drink from Jesus, home we're going

Now's the time to sing

I write this in terms that you'll understand

Do you know that it is LAST CALL

Give your heart to Jesus, the time is at hand

It's LAST CALL for JESUS ...... TO ALL
