Perfect Peace

Isaiah 26: 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

I don't know about you but in the world today and with the tumultuous atmosphere we live in each day I can certainly use "Perfect Peace." It is obvious that we have to live in this world but as the Bible says we do not and should not be part of it. In order to have the peace mentioned in the Scripture we have to keep our mind 'stayed' on Him. We are also told that having our mind focused on Him that it will foster our trust in Him as well. There is little in the world and society today that would cause us to have our thoughts directed to God. That is why it is so important for us to be the light and salt in our world today. My peace is not in how much money I can make, it is not in how successful I am by the world's standards. My peace is not dependent upon Wall Street having a good day or not. My peace is not dependent upon what others think of me or how accepted I am in the world. My peace is not in the clothes I wear, whether it is 'name brand' or generic. My peace is not measured with the weights of society's scales. My peace is in keeping my focus on the promises and facts of Jesus being my all in all. I pray daily for God to help me keep my focus on Him because it is the world's desire to pull me away from that very thing. We have to place our desire to stay focused on Him more than the world's attempt to draw us away. I want to leave you with a thought from a Tee Shirt that I have;

Know Jesus, Know Peace
