Proper Offering
Genesis 4: 1-15
Vs. 3 -
It is apparent that the institution of offering had been established already
It is also interesting that Cain means - "acquisition" and earth
Vs. 4 -
It is also apparent that God had already established the requirement of the first born
Abel was a shepherd and killed by his brother - striking parallel to Jesus
Vs. 5 -
Cain's bloodless sacrifice was unacceptable
Blood was the price established for sin - Hebrews 9:22

Have you ever been angry at God?

If as in Cain's state you allow sin to control you then you become the
servant of sin - Romans 6:16
Sin lieth at the door of every Christian waiting to trip them up.

What did Cain talk with Abel about? I would guess that Abel was trying to witness and explain to
Cain the importance of sacrifice and repentance and Cain refused to hear
The ultimate result of sin controlling you is death and violence
Vs. 9 -
"Am I my brother's keeper?" Yes, it is called discipleship - 1 Corinthians 8:7-13 and Galatians
6:16
The lack of accountability and discipleship is a major problem in the church today
Vs.10 -
Numbers 32:23 - Your sin will find you out sooner or later
Vs.13 -
satan will cause you to despair but God promises that you will never be overloaded - 1
Corinthians 10:13
satan's purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy you - John 10:10 and he wants you to commit suicide
and crumble under the pressure
