What About Same Sex Marriage?

    There is a strong drive in society today trying to sway the minds of people that homosexuality is not only hereditary but should be accepted as an alternative lifestyle. The homosexual movement is making powerful efforts to convince society that it is a normal happening. The media and Hollywood has jumped on the band wagon with them by using movies, TV shows, and tabloids to promote this perverseness.

    Homosexuals and their radical faction are attempting to force their lifestyle on society and the liberal media is encouraging them. It is a dire time in this country for Christians to take a stand and proclaim the truth about this lifestyle and the fact that it is not acceptable nor is it an alternative lifestyle.

     The Homosexual groups are blatantly disregarding the local laws in many states and issuing marriage licenses. Yet this liberal judicial system would go down and dis-bar a judge because he dared to display the Ten Commandments in his courthouse. Why are they not mounting a large scale legal crackdown on these groups that are defiantly disregarding the local laws? Because Christians are not making as loud a voice against these groups as they are for their cause.

    When will the Christian population in this country wake up and become what they are called to be? We must become the defenders of the truth that we proclaim that we believe in or we are just fooling ourselves about our sincerity.

    Regardless of how much the homosexual movement is trying to persuade the public that their lifestyle is acceptable and normal, God's Word has something entirely different to proclaim.

Romans 1:24-27-- Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25. who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
Leviticus 18:22-- You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13-- If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10-- Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Deuteronomy 22:5-- A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God.
Jude 7-- ...as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
1 Timothy 1:9-10-- ...knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane...10. for fornicators, for sodomites...

Statistics You Should Know: It's Not Just Holding Hands

65% of all reported AIDS cases among males in the United States since 1981 have been men engaged in homosexual behavior. (Center for Disease Control HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report, Vol. 9, No. 2, May, 1998)
Homosexuals account for an overwhelmingly disproportionate number of cases of Gonorrhea, Hepatitis A, and Hepatitis B. (JAMA, 1986)

Seven DEMANDS of the Homosexual Agenda:

Demand the repeal of all sodomy laws and legalization of all forms of sexual expression. (Including pedophilia, changing age of consent laws to allow sex with youth.)
Demand defense budget funds be diverted to cover AIDS patients' medical expenses, and taxpayer funding of sex change operations.
Demand the legalization of same sex marriages, and legalization of adoption, custody, and foster care within these structures.

The Deceptive Portrayal
    In their blueprint for homosexual activism, After the Ball, Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen teach that activists must "desensitize straights to gays and gayness, inundate them in a continuous flow of gay-related advertising." They advocate that the portrayal of homosexuals should be positive and non-threatening, "First you get your foot in the door, by being as similar as possible. Then, and only then-when your one little difference is finally accepted-can you start dragging in your other peculiarities, one by one."

Homosexual Deception
    "In the early stages of any campaign to reach straight America, the masses should not be shocked and repelled by premature exposure to homosexual behavior itself. Instead, the imagery of sex should be downplayed and gay-rights should be reduced to an abstract social question as much as possible. Forced Acceptance
    When a diversity consultant in 1994 asked whether some employees might be reluctant to undergo sensitivity training on homosexuality, openly homosexual U.S. Patents and Trademark Commissioner Bruce Lehmen replied: It's got to be forced down their throats. If they want to be bigots, they can go work for someone else's department.

Free Speech - Outlawed!

    Last year the California Legislature voted to allow citizens to use public, taxpayer money to sue Christian organizations (like radio stations or schools) that refer to homosexuality as a sin. (You know, like in the Bible?) This bill, AB257, actually passed in both Houses, only to be vetoed by outgoing Governor Pete Wilson. Another bill, AB310, would have put churches under state regulation, so they would be forced to hire homosexuals.

Homosexuality, Mental Illness, and the American Psychiatric Association
    In 1973, the APA removed Homosexuality from its diagnostic category of mental illnesses. This action came not as a result of new research and findings, but was ultimately brought about by militant protest staged by activists at the APA annual convention. In other words, intimidation was a key motivation. In fact, only 16% of the entire APA membership actually voted in favor of the radical change.     Homosexuality is Not a Civil Right
The assertion that homosexuals are a true minority group is false. Minority status has been determined by the U.S. Supreme Court Based on three criteria:

Economic Deprivation - NO! Those engaged in the homosexual lifestyle are among the most advantaged people in the U.S. On average, they have a higher per capita income than heterosexuals, and higher household incomes. (W.S. Journal, 2/10/89; N.Y. Times, 8/22/90).
Political Powerlessness - NO! Homosexuals demonstrate great influential political power far beyond their actual numbers. The Human Rights Campaign Fund has annually donated millions of dollars to candidates, more than most other non-corporate PACs. (The Economist, 4/24/93) Media news and entertainment coverage is overwhelmingly favorable. (Turn your TV on!)
Immutable Characteristics - NO! Minority groups share unchangeable, benign, non-behavioral traits such as race, ethnicity, disability or national origin. Homosexuals are the only group to claim minority status based on behavior!

Again, What God Says About It
To practice homosexuality or lesbianism is an abomination to God. It is detestable to Him. In the Old Testament, the judgment for such behavior was death. Their blood was on their own heads.

God clearly and unmistakably warns us in His Word not to do this. It is written:

Lev 18:22-THOU SHALT NOT LIE WITH MANKIND, AS WITH WOMANKIND: IT IS ABOMINATION.

Lev 18:22-"'DO NOT LIE WITH A MAN AS ONE LIES WITH A WOMAN; THAT IS DETESTABLE ." (NIV)

Lev 20:13-"'IF A MAN LIES WITH A MAN AS ONE LIES WITH A WOMAN, BOTH OF THEM HAVE DONE WHAT IS DETESTABLE. THEY MUST BE PUT TO DEATH; THEIR BLOOD WILL BE ON THEIR OWN HEADS." (NIV)

In Judges, men having sex with men is clearly shown to be wicked and disgraceful.

Judges 19:22-23-NOW AS THEY WERE MAKING THEIR HEARTS MERRY, BEHOLD, (some of) THE MEN OF THE CITY, CERTAIN SONS OF BELIAL (SURROUNDED THE) HOUSE ROUND, AND BEAT AT THE DOOR, AND (SHOUTED) TO THE MASTER OF THE HOUSE, THE OLD MAN, SAYING, BRING FORTH THE MAN THAT CAME INTO THINE HOUSE, THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM (or so we can have sex with him-NIV). AND THE MAN, THE MASTER OF THE HOUSE, WENT OUT UNTO THEM, AND SAID UNTO THEM, NAY, MY BRETHREN, NAY, I PRAY YOU, DO NOT SO WICKEDLY; SEEING THAT THIS MAN IS COME INTO MINE HOUSE, DO NOT THIS FOLLY (or disgraceful thing).

God clearly and unmistakably shows in Romans that those who practice homosexuality and lesbianism are worthy of death. They shall surely perish unless they repent. It is written:

Ro 1:18-32-FOR THE WRATH OF GOD IS REVEALED FROM HEAVEN AGAINST ALL UNGODLINESS AND UNRIGHTEOUSNESS (or wickedness) OF MEN, WHO HOLD (or suppress) THE TRUTH IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS (or by their wickedness); BECAUSE THAT WHICH MAY BE KNOWN (ABOUT) GOD IS MANIFEST IN (or plain to) THEM; FOR GOD HATH SHEWED (or made) IT UNTO THEM. FOR THE INVISIBLE THINGS OF HIM FROM THE CREATION OF THE WORLD ARE CLEARLY SEEN, BEING UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, EVEN HIS ETERNAL POWER AND GODHEAD (or divine nature); SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE: BECAUSE THAT, WHEN THEY KNEW GOD, THEY (NEITHER GLORIFIED HIM) AS GOD, NEITHER WERE THANKFUL; BUT BECAME VAIN (or futile) IN THEIR IMAGINATIONS (or thinking), AND THEIR FOOLISH HEART WAS DARKENED. FOR THIS CAUSE GOD GAVE THEM UP UNTO VILE AFFECTIONS (or shameful lusts): FOR EVEN THEIR WOMEN DID CHANGE THE NATURAL USE INTO THAT WHICH IS AGAINST NATURE (or their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones-NIV): The women became lesbians. AND (IN THE SAME WAY) THE MEN, LEAVING THE NATURAL USE OF THE WOMAN (or the men also abandoned natural relations with women-NIV), BURNED IN THEIR LUST (or were inflamed with lust) ONE TOWARD ANOTHER; MEN (COMMITTED INDECENT ACTS WITH OTHER MEN-NIV), AND RECEIVING IN THEMSELVES (THE DUE PENALTY FOR THEIR PERVERSION-NIV). God's Word clearly and unmistakably states in

1 Corinthians chapter 6-NEITHER…ADULTERERS,…NOR HOMOSEXUAL OFFENDERS…SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. It is God's Word that shall judge people in the last day. It is these very words that shall judge many in the last day. People can twist God's Word and say it does not mean what it says, but that changes nothing. Unrepentant adulterers and homosexuals will perish.

1 Cor 6:9,10-KNOW YE NOT THAT THE UNRIGHTEOUS (or wicked) SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD? BE NOT DECEIVED: NEITHER FORNICATORS (or the sexually immoral), NOR IDOLATERS, NOR ADULTERERS, NOR EFFEMINATE (or male prostitutes), NOR (HOMOSEXUAL OFFENDERS-NIV), NOR THIEVES, NOR COVETOUS (or greedy), NOR DRUNKARDS, NOR REVILERS or slanderers), NOR EXTORTIONERS (or swindlers), SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

God destroyed Sodom and the cities of the plain for wickedness and homosexuality. The message is clear-don't do it.

Gen 19:4-17, 24-26-BEFORE THEY HAD GONE TO BED, ALL THE MEN FROM EVERY PART OF THE CITY OF SODOM-BOTH YOUNG AND OLD-SURROUNDED THE HOUSE. THEY CALLED TO LOT, "WHERE ARE THE MEN WHO CAME TO YOU TONIGHT? BRING THEM OUT TO US SO THAT WE CAN HAVE SEX WITH THEM." These were homosexual men. LOT WENT OUTSIDE TO MEET THEM AND SHUT THE DOOR BEHIND HIM AND SAID, "NO, MY FRIENDS. DON'T DO THIS WICKED THING (NIV). Lot clearly shows homosexuality is a wicked thing. BEHOLD NOW, I HAVE TWO DAUGHTERS WHICH HAVE NOT KNOWN MAN; LET ME, I PRAY YOU, BRING THEM OUT UNTO YOU, AND DO YE TO THEM AS IS GOOD IN YOUR EYES: ONLY UNTO THESE MEN DO NOTHING; FOR THEREFORE CAME THEY UNDER THE SHADOW OF MY ROOF. LOOK, I HAVE TWO DAUGHTERS WHO HAVE NEVER SLEPT WITH A MAN. LET ME BRING THEM OUT TO YOU, AND YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU LIKE WITH THEM. BUT DON'T DO ANYTHING TO THESE MEN, FOR THEY HAVE COME UNDER THE PROTECTION OF MY ROOF." "GET OUT OF OUR WAY," THEY REPLIED. AND THEY SAID, "THIS FELLOW CAME HERE AS AN ALIEN, AND NOW HE WANTS TO PLAY THE JUDGE! WE'LL TREAT YOU WORSE THAN THEM." THEY KEPT BRINGING PRESSURE ON LOT AND MOVED FORWARD TO BREAK DOWN THE DOOR. These homosexual men did not want women.

10-BUT THE MEN INSIDE REACHED OUT AND PULLED LOT BACK INTO THE HOUSE AND SHUT THE DOOR. THEN THEY STRUCK THE MEN WHO WERE AT THE DOOR OF THE HOUSE, YOUNG AND OLD, WITH BLINDNESS SO THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE DOOR. THE TWO MEN SAID TO LOT, "DO YOU HAVE ANYONE ELSE HERE-SONS-IN-LAW, SONS OR DAUGHTERS, OR ANYONE ELSE IN THE CITY WHO BELONGS TO YOU? GET THEM OUT OF HERE, BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO DESTROY THIS PLACE. THE OUTCRY TO THE LORD AGAINST ITS PEOPLE IS SO GREAT THAT HE HAS SENT US TO DESTROY IT." SO LOT WENT OUT AND SPOKE TO HIS SONS-IN-LAW, WHO WERE PLEDGED TO MARRY HIS DAUGHTERS. HE SAID, "HURRY AND GET OUT OF THIS PLACE, BECAUSE THE LORD IS ABOUT TO DESTROY THE CITY!" BUT HIS SONS-IN-LAW THOUGHT HE WAS JOKING.

15-WITH THE COMING OF DAWN, THE ANGELS URGED LOT, SAYING, "HURRY! TAKE YOUR WIFE AND YOUR TWO DAUGHTERS WHO ARE HERE, OR YOU WILL BE SWEPT AWAY WHEN THE CITY IS PUNISHED." Clearly, homosexuality is such a great sin in the eyes of God that He determined to punish and destroy the entire city. WHEN HE HESITATED, THE MEN GRASPED HIS HAND AND THE HANDS OF HIS WIFE AND OF HIS TWO DAUGHTERS AND LED THEM SAFELY OUT OF THE CITY, FOR THE LORD WAS MERCIFUL TO THEM. AS SOON AS THEY HAD BROUGHT THEM OUT, ONE OF THEM SAID, "FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES! DON'T LOOK BACK, AND DON'T STOP ANYWHERE IN THE PLAIN! FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS OR YOU WILL BE SWEPT AWAY!" 24-THEN THE LORD RAINED DOWN BURNING SULFUR ON SODOM AND GOMORRAH-FROM THE LORD OUT OF THE HEAVENS. THUS HE OVERTHREW THOSE CITIES AND THE ENTIRE PLAIN, INCLUDING ALL THOSE LIVING IN THE CITIES-AND ALSO THE VEGETATION IN THE LAND. Such is the judgment of the Lord on wickedness and homosexuality. BUT LOT'S WIFE LOOKED BACK, AND SHE BECAME A PILLAR OF SALT (NIV).

1 Ki 14:24-AND THERE WERE ALSO SODOMITES IN THE LAND: AND THEY DID ACCORDING TO ALL THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE NATIONS WHICH THE LORD CAST OUT BEFORE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.

The Message Is Clear, Now What?

The message that God leaves with us in His Word is very clear that Homosexuality is not acceptable and something that angers Him. As Christians we need to be bold about this message without in anyway condoning hostile action. There are many out there claiming to be messengers of God displaying anger and violence which is not what God instructs of us. We still must love the person realizing that they are simply deceived and controlled by a lie. We are not to hate the homosexual but rather in love show them the truth of God's Word. If they choose to ignore the truth then we are cleared of their guilt.

In recent years, a number of homosexuals have come to realize this and have turned from their sins, repented of their old ways, having received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are now serving God in truth. Some even have ministries that reach out to homosexuals. If you are involved in the sin of homosexuality and want out, there is hope for you through Jesus Christ. However, you must completely forsake this practice and humble yourself before God in truth.
