Introduction

I am always humbled when Adam Bartlett asks me to write something for the ministry web site! Even more so now, seeing the number of people in the world that are now looking at the teachings contained in it. At present time, while I write this, it appears that well over 360,000 visits have logged into the Bibleheadquarters.org site!

I have been asked to give what I believe to be an accurate account of the End-Time events we are witnessing, and thoughts concerning the end of the world. Usually I like to lean heavily on scripture, as will be the case here. But this time I will take scriptural prophecy and match this with what we see today, in 2008. May the Lord Jesus help me by His Holy Spirit to interpret today's current events.

The Great Apostasy

It is important to address this topic first, as judgment begins at the house God. We hear so many preachers and evangelists today talking so much about the great end-time revival that will sweep the earth. In fact, they make it sound like every soul on the planet will be saved, the devil will be on the run, and we will all be wealthy, never battle the enemy in sickness, and God's kingdom will be on the earth without a fight!

I don't believe scripture supports this kind of teaching. In fact, Jesus states plainly in Matthew 24:12 that "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." The lost don't have true love to begin with, so it couldn't wax cold. I believe he was talking about iniquity within the church.

Brother Paul stated a departure from the faith as well in II Thess. 2:3 where he plainly proclaims: "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first......” Paul is talking about the day of the Lord, which is His second coming. You don't fall away from something you weren't at in the first place, so obviously again he is talking about the state of the Church.

So many other scriptures deal with the church being trampled upon for a time by the beast system and the anti-Christ. This doesn't sound like the Church ruling the earth right before Jesus comes. It sounds like we see a horrific storm on the horizon, and we better be prepared!

The Great Tribulation Period

So many preachers preach the second coming of the Lord will get us Christians out of here so we won't have to face the anti-Christ, the mark of the beast, or suffer in any way. I want to ask those preachers to show me plainly in the Word of God how consistent this is with scripture.

I could quote a book-load of bible passages to the contrary. In Matthew Chapter 24 Jesus mentions what we call "the rapture" AFTER the great tribulation period. And this is consistent with what Paul said in II Thess. 2:3 proclaiming we wouldn't see that day until this man of sin, the anti-Christ, be revealed.

How did this pre-tribulation doctrine start? Well it wasn't always taught in the church. In fact, the church as a whole always braced themselves for that final show down with the devil and his demons, and his servants in human form before Jesus returned. If you want to see where the pre-trib doctrine came from, do some study and see for yourself. Start by doing a Google search on Margaret McDonald, who in 1830, claimed she had a vision that God showed her concerning the 2nd coming.

I believe in visions. But they better agree with scripture or they do not come from God! Yes, the great tribulation is coming. Christians better be prepared and prayed up for it. Anyone alive will be forced to choose between accepting the mark of the beast, and the anti-Christ, or rejecting it. A true Christian will reject it, and won't be able to buy or sell. And many will die for their faith, and be imprisoned. Not the message we are getting from most of today's pulpits. (What did I say about apostasy?)

The Mark of the Beast and Money

What a heavy subject to deal with now in this day and age! I believe the mark of the beast is at our doorstep, and the church is largely sound asleep! What do you think the small microchips that now people brag about putting under their skin are about? Do we think this is a coincidence?

We put them in our pets. We put them in products we buy. And now they are going in humans! This technology contains medical data, and anything else we want to encode in the pet, product or person. And it is the mark of the beast developing.

Every Christian should not be drugged asleep by what is happening here! So many of us realize this, but we still go as far to the edge as we can go for our own convenience. We put them in our pets, because, after all, "it's just a dog!” We then proclaim that we won't put them in ourselves, and send a message to our neighbors and other Christians that the technology is great by our compromising actions.

Who are we kidding here? Years ago we would be appalled as Christians at this technology. Now we are so used to it, when another Christian speaks out about it we think he or she is too radical, or getting too alarmed. I say if you don't have the will power to keep them out of your pets when it isn't even necessary, don't think you won't rationalize it away when you have to put one in your hand or forehead to keep your job and feed your family, or out of your children because "you love them and don't want them to be kidnapped." (What about their soul and eternity?)

Terrorism will help drive this technology. More terrorism will continue to happen. Something terrible might happen that might make Sept 11th look small in comparison. The governments of the world will embrace this technology to keep track of all individuals, all financial transactions, and identities. After all, one must buy things to live. If you make a transaction with the chip, the mark, you can be tracked instantly as to where you are. Never mind the Global Positioning systems now in your car, they will want them in your hand. You can be tracked by satellite then!

The love of money is the root of all evil. (I Timothy 6:10) And it will be commerce, buying and selling, that will be the rod of correction used by the anti-Christ to bring the world under control with the mark of the beast. When I hear and read of these microchips in which lies the technology to do exactly what the bible proclaims, it sends a deep spiritual shiver down my spine, and troubles me greatly for the church, who seems ignorant of, or in denial of what is happening!

The Parable of the 10 Virgins

How Calvinists explain this passage away is beyond me! The 10 virgins mentioned in Matthew 25: 1-13 is Jesus talking about His bride, the church. The unsaved are not virgins spiritually. And the unsaved certainly aren't engaged to Jesus, the bridegroom!

Yet Jesus states that only one half of them make it. The other half are shut out. And this warning is about His second coming! This means 50% of the TRUE church, those that have really been saved, will be ready at His coming.

Why is this so? The oil in the lamps of those that were shut out, went out. The oil, I believe, represents the Holy Spirit. Again, an unsaved person doesn't have oil to start with. The unsaved cannot receive the Holy Spirit. Only the saved.

What this says to you, Christian, is that you better stay prayed up. You better ask Jesus to give you a fresh supply of oil, His Holy Spirit, so that you can see at the midnight hour, and be led to where the bridegroom Jesus is! Dark times are coming. The midnight hour Jesus talks about is indeed the great tribulation period that the church will go through. Only the oil of the Holy Spirit giving you and I the strength the early church had to stand in the face of persecution and tribulation from the devil will get you through.

The Anti-Christ spirit

If you are gifted by God to discern spirits, you can quickly recognize the anti-Christ spirit. It is one that glorifies self instead of Jesus. It is laced in the teachings of cults that in the end try to convince you that God is actually you, and in you, apart from Jesus Christ.

And this spirit will culminate completely in a man that will be totally given over to satan. He is called the anti-Christ in scripture. But this subtle teaching has been laced in our government run schools, our God-less lukewarm churches, along with cults, who deny that Jesus Christ is actually God.

It is the great deception talked about in the bible. Paul said the mystery of iniquity already was at work in his day. And he was in Rome. The largest proclaimed "Christian" organization in the world has a leader that is called "Father", and has a title that proclaims himself the Vicar of Christ. It is no wonder we Christians who have had centuries of traditionalism that we aren't even always aware of, which came from Catholicism, have trouble coming out of all of this to be separate!

"Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."
-Rev 12:12

Satan and his demons are being cast out of the heavens in these last days, and the destination for them is the earth, which shall be destroyed by the brightness of the 2nd coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The earth will be burned, along with satan, his demons, and sadly, his human followers. May that not be anyone reading this message!

The Anti Christ

Who will be the anti Christ? I don't know his name. But I do know that he will push the mark of the beast successfully upon the world. I do know he will be a world ruler. He will proclaim to be God himself. He will set in the temple of God and blaspheme by proclaiming he himself is God. And he won't have the desire of women. Will he be a homosexual? Let's look at what the prophet Daniel proclaims about him:

"Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall magnify himself above all." -Daniel 11:37

Can you see how we are being brainwashed to tolerate those with the above type characteristics? Laws are in the works to charge churches with a hate crime if homosexuality is spoken against. The anti Christ won't regard the God of his fathers, which indicates that his generational tree were once God fearing, and he has departed from it. And we are being hypnotized, and made tolerant of darkness and evil so that if you call it evil, the world accuses you of being intolerant, a bigot, and evil yourself!

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

You are called by Jesus to preach the gospel to anyone who has an anti Christ spirit, pray for their deliverance, and for heaven's sake, don’t throw stones at them. Jesus came to save men, not destroy them. We must carry his message of redemption, healing, and deliverance to all the world, no matter how vile. Jesus died on the cross for every sin. Only the blaspheming of the Holy Spirit has no forgiveness.

The Organized Church - friend or foe?

Organization is good if God does the organizing. But if man does it apart from the Holy Spirit's direction, bondage can occur. I believe that this began with the Roman Catholic institution, where rules set out by St. Paul in I Corinthians Chapters 12, 13, and 14 concerning the body of Christ meeting and allowing the Holy Spirit to move through them were thrown out and ignored. The name of Jesus Christ was even taken out of water baptism and replaced by only titles of God. You take His name out, and you have no salvation, for neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. His name is Jesus!

Popes, Cardinals, and Priests formed a structure where the body of Christ was no longer allowed to minister to one another. They themselves did "the mass" where Christians were to come, sit, and allow only the priest to be the church for them. They were discouraged from even reading the bible, for after all, the leaders of the Roman Catholic institution felt they weren't capable of hearing from God "on their own". They even became the ones you confess your sin to instead of Jesus, for they set themselves up to be the mediator between God and man.

Out of this came our brother Martin Luther, a priest who broke out of this system. But even now, in our protestant churches, so many of the traditions of Catholicism were carried over that aren't supported in scripture. A result of this is a quenching of the Holy Spirit, where Spiritual Gifts in I Cor 12 are not allowed to be practiced, and we expect the burnt out preacher to do it all for us.

When the Holy Ghost is quenched along with the offices and gifts of the Holy Spirit, you get the opposite of "Liberty". Where the Holy Spirit is there is liberty: "Now the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." II Cor 3:17

Why am talking about this? Because the opposite of liberty is bondage. If you are in a church only has a form of Godliness but denies the power of the Holy Spirit in all of His gifts and power, you should turn away from that church. How do you expect that church to help and strengthen you in these last days?

If the church is not full of the Holy Ghost, it will not stand in these last days. And it cannot nor does it have the power to help you as well. That is why the bible instructs you to turn away from all those that only have a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof. God is talking about the church here!

The Rise of Islam and the Pacifist Pope

I suppose I am talking a lot about Roman Catholicism in this message. I didn't intend to! But as the religious leaders of the world become prominent in the news, it won't be the pastor of your local church, or perhaps even your denomination, if you are in one.....unless you are Catholic. It is what the Pope does that the world news organizations report on.

Even now, you see the Pope trying to get along with the leaders of Islam. In the olden days, they led crusades to try to wipe Islam out. Even that was against the teachings of Christ, for they were to follow the example of the early church and reach them with the "sword of the Spirit", which is the Word of God.

But today you see an ecumenical "coming together" of the major religions. They hold hands. They worship together; they proclaim "peace and safety" as the bible said they would. You should have no part of it!!

You are not to be unequally yoked with non-believers. And I am talking about anyone that doesn't believe that Jesus is the only way to have eternal life, and have access to the Father! If you don't believe this, you are not a Christian. And you are not to join hands and fellowship and pray with anyone that does not believe this truth.

As we approach the end of the age, you will see a joining of the hands of people like the Pope, leaders of Islam, Buddhism, & Hinduism. They will be united because Jesus will be taken out of the picture as being Lord God. It is no wonder the Anti-Christ will not regard the God of his fathers, and will then proclaim himself to be God!

Wars and Rumors of Wars

The last century has fulfilled this end time prophecy. No time in the history of mankind has the entire world gone to war as in WW1 and WW2. And today the latest style of the world is for nations to gather together every time a country needs to be in check. (Need I remind you of the gulf war?) And it will culminate with a bunch of evil countries attempting to attack and invade Israel. (Ezekiel 38) They will be sorry!

Yes, this will not stop. Don't be fooled by those that tell you it is no different today than in the old times. We have the 2 world wars and the nuclear age to prove them different.

Signs in the heavens and the in the earth

Scientists and politicians warn of global warming. We have more recorded earthquakes in the past two decades than at any other recorded time in history. Even recently an earthquake caused a tidal wave that killed hundreds of thousands of people in Asia.

UFO sightings will increase. Don't be fooled by man's interpretations as to what these really are! The planets and stars will be shaken. Giant meteorites will hit the earth. I believe San Francisco is on the edge of perhaps the most terrible earthquake our generation has seen there. And be warned about another earthquake that could take place in America where quakes don't traditionally happen. It would be so bad that all news coverage will take over regular programming to deal with it for a great length of time.

When these things happen, be reminded that the birth pangs that precede the coming of the Lord will get sharper and sharper as we approach the day of the Lord. If you are a Christian, realize that when these things happen your time of redemption is upon you, even at the door!

Diseases and Famines

Don't expect science or technology to get rid of disease and starvation. It isn't going to happen! As soon as we find a cure for one terrible disease, another pops up. Think I am wrong? Look at how many AIDs casualties have happened throughout the world in the last 25 years. If they find a cure for this, something will again mutate and raise its ugly head. Greedy Islamic and other pagan governments will continue to attribute to famines in Africa, as they violently impose their will and steal from the populations there. Other countries of the world that have rejected Christianity will continue to sadly suffer from starvation, disease, and poverty. Jesus wants to set them free from the destroyer. The prince and power of the air, the devil himself, wants to rob, kill, steal and destroy mankind. As the devil takes more control of the earth before Jesus comes, don't expect disease and famines to go away.

How Close Are We?

Jesus proclaims how to know when His return is near:

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When is branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." -Matt 24:32-34

The generation that sees in whole the signs of His 2nd coming and the end of the age that He proclaimed in Matthew Chapter 24 will experience the fulfilling of this prophecy. Another definite sign that Jesus told us to look for was the preaching of the Gospel in all nations:

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations: and then shall the end come." -Matt 24:14

Even the proclamation of this message you have just read is a part of the fulfilling of this prophecy! Our website alone has gotten the Gospel into most of the nations on the earth. And this multiplied by all the other faithful Christians that are using the internet, the radio, television, and who are physically in all the world today proclaiming the Gospel. This tells me the end will come soon.

I am excited but also concerned. I want to be ready and have the strength, the oil in my lamp, to face the great tribulation ahead that Jesus warned His church of at the time of His return. I have tried to be as candid as I should be with whoever reads this message, as I don't want your blood to be on my hands at the Day of Judgment.

This message was not intended to simply fill you with terror. The intent is to warn you, Christian, to be ready, just as Jesus continually warned us in His word. I don't want you to be in confusion should you live to see many of the above events take place. I want this message to drive you to your knees so that Jesus can fill you with His Holy Ghost and give you fresh oil, so that you might clearly see your way to Him in this midnight hour.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." -Romans 10:13

JESUS IS LORD!
