The Subtle Approaches of Sin
Vs. 1 -
Sin will approach you - you do not have to go looking for it
Sin will cause you to question the word of God
Vs. 3 -
Sin will cause you to add to the word - see 2:17
Vs. 4 -
Sin will try to tell you truth is a lie
Vs. 5 -
The beginning of the New Age doctrine
Vs. 6 -
satan's temptations will cause you to see things in a new way - Eve had seen this tree before but
satan caused her to see three things.
- - Appeal to the Natural (Body) - Good for food
- - Appeal to the Flesh (Soul) - Pleasant to look upon
- - Appeal to the Spirit - Desire to be wise
satan will tempt you completely - body - soul - and spirit
he will also use you to cause others to sin
Vs. 7 -
The spirit will convict you and make your condition known - satan will try to get you to think you
should try to take care of your sin instead of confessing it

satan will try to get you to hide from God instead of seeking Him - John 3:19-21
Vs. 9 -
God will always seek you - may send a messenger your way
Vs. 10 -
The devil will try to make you afraid of God by dwelling on your condition
Vs. 11 -
God already knows but will prod you to confess
Vs. 12-13 -
Introduction of the human nature and pride - not accepting responsibility - must find someone
to blame
