We Need to Restore the Zeal

John 2: 13-17

House of God is where most of us were saved - where we get fed - and where we should develop a Zeal for God’s presence.

There is no Zeal today for going to church - because the spiritual atmosphere is missing.

Zeal should over -ride Bitterness

Amos 3:3 "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Zeal for holiness should over-ride petty disagreements

Zeal should eat up all selfishness

James 4:3

Many today serve God only for what they can get for themselves

The Church was not built on selfish motives - Jesus NEVER did things for himself, but always for others.

Zeal should expose foolishness

Galatians 3:1

There is so much foolishness in churches today that doesn’t honor God nor promote His Word.

Psalms 119: 105 > Zeal for the Word is Rare among Christians

Zeal should destroy worldliness

James 4:4

Worldliness has no place in the church - just as Jesus showed earlier in John 2

The church is O.K. in the World- but the World is not O.K. in the church.

Zeal should fill up all emptiness

Psalm 65:4

The world has a reason to be empty - searching to satisfy - God’s child has no reason to be empty.

The things of the World can NEVER satisfy a born-again child of God.

Psalm 84:10 - 122:1 - 139:23-24

We Need the Zeal for God and the Spiritual things of God more than ever.
