What about Homosexuality?
Opening Discussion:
Do you think that homosexuality is something that is inherited?
Why haven't scientists been able to find a common factor agreeing that it is something that can be inherited?
Would you believe the Bible over a doctor or scientist?
What does the Bible say:
Leviticus 18:
22: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Leviticus 20:
13: If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Romans 1:
24: Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Q: Do you see a place in the scriptures where that God indicated that this was something that these people could not control?
Q: Do you believe from the scriptures that this is something that a person can do and still find favor with God?
Q: Do you think according to the scriptures that a person can claim to be a Christian and still follow that lifestyle?
It is very clear that this is not something that is acceptable to God and it is also clear that it is a sin. It is also very clear by these scriptures that it is not something that a person is born into. Every person that is in this lifestyle has chosen to do these things and God will not stop them because they have that free will. God will not force anyone to serve Him and therefore people get caught up in various sins. This is just one example of allowing satan to deceive a person to the point that they believe it is natural.
